Nancy’s Cafe

Posted: February 8, 2008 in Uncategorized

So I ate at a new little restaurant in Seymour called Nancy’s cafe. It could be characterized as a “hole in the wall” type place. Don’t get me wrong, it is very clean in there, it’s just that it is located in the building of an old run-down gas station that still has the pumps out front. They don’t have a nice professional sign, just a piece of vinyl with Nancy’s cafe printed in red lettering. Here’s the thing though, it’s good. I mean real good. They have everything from the classics like sandwiches to great pastas. Nancy is a nice lady that works the cash register and her dad is in the back doing all of the cooking. That’s it. No servers or busboys, just those two. They give you a free dessert with any meal that you order. You’re taking a chance when you walk into a place like this, but this chance was well worth it. Two very nice people that can make some great food for pretty cheap. What more could you ask for? I know I will be going back to Nancy’s…I already have twice.

I have passed that place a thousand times. Thanks for the indorsement. Give me a call one afternoon and we’ll go. What are the hours it is open?

  2. Mark says:

i am going this weekend if it is open.

  3. Amy says:

Sounds like one of those places Rachael Ray would visit on her $40 a day show.
